The Perfect Pairing.

Morbi vitae purus dictum, ultrices tellus in, gravida lectus.

There truly is something magical about pairing kimchi with a Korean drama. The kimchi is spicy, which is perfect – given that the drama is most likely still fermenting and its flavors have yet to express how much they like each other (probably).

If you watch k-dramas then – you know – I’m not mixing those two things up. While there are some series that do not slowly ferment (I’m talking to you The Trunk), many of the ones I have watched, are. And just like a good kimchi, waiting for it to ferment is well worth the wait.

My first kdrama, the gateway show one could say, was Boys over Flowers, (2009). I remember putting it on, randomly, because I was bored and the show cover was cute. However, I had no idea I was about to be catapulted into this whole cult – ahem – culture and, in turn, have it suddenly become my identity. Boys over Flowers is one that I have watched a billion times and I hold it near and dear to my heart. Some parts of the show have not aged gracefully, at least unless they have added some trigger warnings to it, but it is one I still recommend today.

Anyway, I do not have much to say today other than a hello and welcome. I’m SO close to finishing Law School, which will be the first on my list to talk about. It’s a delightful drama albeit a little…- never mind – I’ll dive more into that once I’m finished.

Until next time, my spicy squad…kimchi crew…aigoo…we’ll get there. 🫰🏻

Help me choose my next Kdrama!

What show should I watch next?
