I believe motherhood didn’t end your magic. It just asked you to find it differently — through herbs, ritual, and reverie.

It clicked for me when my oldest and I were making witch’s balls for the Christmas (Yule) tree over herbal hot chocolate – nothing dramatic, just an ordinary afternoon – and I remember thinking: I hadn’t lost my magic. I just had to figure out how to practice it with my tiny humans instead of away from them. That’s this whole blog, really. The reconstruction.

This blog, Mama in a Reverie, was born out of a need to document the lessons I was learning as I navigated this wild ride. For me, life is a constant push and pull between chaos and calm, and I’ve found my anchor in herbalism, the grounding power of ritual, and the wild, sacred practice of motherhood – not as three separate interests, but as one practice that keeps circling back on itself.

My reverie has since evolved into a space for anyone seeking that same anchor. Here, I share what I’m learning as I weave herbs, magic, and motherhood together – brewing a cup of something healing, building a sacred space amidst the beautiful mess of a house with three kids in it, or just carving out one quiet, honest moment in a day that didn’t have any built in.
